After her own journey back to health after a breast cancer diagnosis, Janet is now hosting radio show on JoyFM which highlights stories of people whose lives have been impacted in some way by cancer. We are grateful to have her here at Family Fest and thrilled she is now cancer-free!

In 1998, Paschal met John Lanier, a commercial airline pilot. They married in 1999 in Reidsville. Paschal was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and took a year off from touring to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Singer-songwriter Janet Paschal grew up in Reidsville and now lives in Burlington. She got her start at the age of 18 singing with The LeFevres, who later changed their name to the Rex Nelon Singers.
