For this game, you can start any of the 2 discs and play all of the episodes in any order you like. But you may find some of the chapters in this game confusing, unless you do them in a specific order. With this in mind I will be addressing all of the walkthrough in an orderly fashion and also tell you how many chapters there are in the episode and what achievements will be obtainable in that chapter you are playing. There will also be chapters within the game that will have the same mission or slight differences, so to avoid repetition I will direct you to the chapter which you need to read at if you need to revise the methods used to complete it.
As a side of interest, some of the achievements in this game are duplicates in Kinect Sesame Street TV Achievements but with a different amount of gamerscore, or the same.
Hide ads
Before you begin though, there's another pointer I need you to be-aware of before you begin your Sesame Street Adventure...
Unlike Kinect Sesame Street TV Achievements where you can choose a chapter in an episode and work away on the achievement that's tied with the chapter, Kinect Sesame Street TV DVD Achievements unfortunately will give you the challenge of playing all of the chapters in the episodes from start to finish in order to get the achievements that require you to "Watch All Of The Interactive episodes Of..."
If you skip any of the chapters in an episode or decide to start the episode from a different chapter other than "Play From The Start", you will void the related achievement and you would have to start over from the beginning chapter of the episode, or load it up from the beginning and keep it idle for a lengthy period of time whilst you go off and do something else round the house. This sole setback overall prolongs the game into having it completed in a short period of time, otherwise it would have been possible to get 1000G in couple hours rather than a few.
Lastly one other thing I must mention is that whilst you are required to play and interact with the chapters in the episode, one of the achievements requires you to watch an episode from start to finish without interacting with the Kinect at all. Details will be explained later.
Remember that none of the achievements in this game will unlock until you have completely finished watching the episode you have just finished working on, or if you exit from the chapter you are playing early and return to the chapter Menu of the game.
Also, be-aware that you'll be seeing a lot of this introduction a lot so here it is to also introduce your Sesame Street quest within the walkthrough. Credit goes to Sesame Street...
Episode 1: Elmozilla
EP 1: Play From Start
Fashionista
You stood in front of mirror and Cooper dressed like you!
1 guide
When you start up any of the chapters in the game, you will be introduced by a green monster named Cooper. Cooper will present a Mirror right next to him and he will want you to stand in front of the mirror. Once the game recognizes that you are in the Mirror, he will then get changed and put on a T-Shirt that supposedly matches your colored top you are wearing.
Regardless of which, once you have passed this section with Cooper wearing a T-Shirt, you will get this achievement at the end of the show.
Note: Make sure when you are standing in the mirror that you are wearing something so that the game can recognize your clothing. I don't think the Mirror will recognize someone that's not wearing any clothes at all, although I never tried it.
This achievement can be unlocked on multiple episodes of the game.
EP 1: Chapter 1: Play Catch With Elmo: Farm
Farmer Elmo
You threw Paul Ball to Elmo at the farm!
1 guide
This is the first game where you will be playing catch with Elmo and his orange ball Paul Ball. You have to catch the ball with Elmo a few times and he will take you around a Farmyard. This is a pretty simple game in which all you do is when Elmo throws the ball, have both your arms out and pretend you have catched the ball in your hands. Then as soon as Elmo's taken position and asks for the ball, you pretend you have thrown the ball back to Elmo. A suggestion to avoid the possibility of the ball hitting the wrong items or characters is to aim your hands when you do the throw action around Elmo's body. That way it'll guarantee you have thrown the ball correctly. You can also throw the ball one handed or two handed as it will register whichever method as a throw.
Once you have passed this chapter, you will get this achievement at the end of the show.
EP 1: Chapter 2: Bruno Mars
This is a music video and you do not need to do anything related to achievements in this chapter.
EP 1: Chapter 3: Elmozilla
Ruler Mania
You found all the rulers in Elmozilla!
1 guide
This will be your first of many Picture Missions in the game. These chapters are usually the longest in which it tells you a story based upon the episodes name. In this case the chapter will be talking about Elmo growing up into a gigantic size. Now whilst you could sit back and watch the whole chapter, you have a mission in which you've got to shout out the collectibles that appear in each of these chapters.
For this chapter, there will be Rulers scattered around the street in the video you are watching. As demonstrated in the introduction video all you have to do is point your finger at the Ruler and say "PICTURE". Cooper will then appear and then take a photo of the Ruler.
There are 20 Rulers for you to find in this chapter and once you have obtained your 20th then you will unlock the achievement at the end of the show. At the end of the chapter, Cooper will add however many collectibles you have achieved into the Journal.
EP 1: Chapter 4: Count 6 Coconuts
Coconut Delivery Monster
You helped Grover get all six of his coconuts back!
1 guide
Warning: This is a wonky achievement as it's 6G gamerscore.
In this chapter the Cookie Monster will drop an item and Grover who is carrying 6 Coconuts will trip over the item and lose his coconuts. You need to help him get them back. This is another simple game in which when Grover tells you to throw a coconut, you perform a throw-like action, pretending you have picked up a coconut and you are throwing it into the box. You can either throw the coconut one handed or two handed as the sensor should recognize you doing a throwing method regardless.
Once you have thrown all 6 Coconuts into the box, you will complete the chapter and be awarded the achievement at the end of the show.
Go Deep
You lobbed a high coconut to Grover!
1 guide
It is possible for you to even get this achievement too, but if you don't then you still have other chapters with Coconut throwing to try again. This is a luck based achievement in which when you throw a Coconut, you need to make it fly up into the air and make Grover run backwards so that he can catch it in the box. The way I managed to get Grover perform the action was to pretend I was holding a large fat coconut with 2 hands and then giving it a hard, fast, heavy throw up into the sky. Another general idea is pretend as if it's an American Football and you wish to give it the best throw possible for a Touchdown.
Should you have made the accomplishment, you will get this achievement as well at the end of the show. It's recommended that you check your achievement listing when all your achievements unlock to see if this one is added into the collection.
This achievement can be unlocked on multiple episodes of the game.
EP 1: Chapter 5: F Is For Father
This is a music video and you do not need to do anything related to achievements in this chapter.
EP 1: Chapter 6: Elmo's World: Flowers
Let's Be Friends
You joined in Elmo's World with another friend!
The final chapter on each episode will be based in Elmo's World. It will simply be a cartoon house with you in the middle and Elmo on a small TV on the right. He will pick a subject for the episode and talk about it, asks questions and sing a stupid song that really destroys "Jingle Bells, Jingle All The Way!"
During any of your visits to Elmo's World you are originally required to bring a friend/partner which would be another human being to be around for a short period of time. They don't have to be their throughout the entire show of Elmo's World as long as they are their for a few moments and the game can register their body as being part of the show.
If you don't have anyone or you do not wish to take the risk of asking someone to see what game you are playing and be embarrassed, another method is to find a large object that you believe the Kinect sensor will detect as a human. Then once you believe the Kinect sensor has registered it, you can throw it aside and hope the achievement pops at the end of the episode.
This achievement can be unlocked on multiple episodes of the game.
Sun and Moon
You touched the sun and the moon in Elmo's World!
1 guide
In every visit you should see a Sun & a Moon on the left and right side of the screens. All you have to do to get this achievement is hit them both at least once with your hands.
This achievement can be unlocked on multiple episodes of the game.
Greener Thumb
You watered all the seeds in all the jars in Elmo's World Flowers!
2 guides
This achievement is known to be slightly glitchy in which the description is not correctly described. During this chapter you should encounter flower jugs and ground with seeds that need watering with a watering can you will have in your hands. There will be 4 Jugs for you to water first and each of them will grow 1 flower. Then in the next scene you will have 3 pots of ground with 3 seeds each, giving you a total of 9 flowers if they are watered with the watering can.
You will need to water all of these mentioned plants, but in order for the achievement to pop at the end of the show you must make sure each of the flowers are moving and performing a side to side action. If you miss any one of these the achievement will not unlock. You also need to be a little speedy as it's two scenes that contain plants that need watering. A possible idea to make this achievement easier is if you tilt your left hand and make it into a fist action.
Maestro
You played all the notes on the piano in Elmo's World!
1 guide
At the end of Elmo's World in each chapter before he sings his daft songs a music keyboard will be placed on the floor in the room where you will be. To get this achievement, all you need to do is make sure your feet hit each of the keynotes at least once. It can be done in any order.
This achievement can be unlocked on multiple episodes of the game.
Elmozilla
You watched all of the interactive episode: Elmozilla
1 guide
After the ending video of Cooper saying goodbye, you should then get the Soho Productions screen and then any achievements you have accomplished popped here. You will also get this achievement as well if you have watched all of this episode from the very beginning to the end.
Episode 2: Baby Bear's Baby Doll
EP 2: Play From Start
EP 2: Chapter 1: Jump For Letter K Snack
Palindrome
Your jumping made a kayak fall from the Letter Tree!
1 guide
This is one of two chapters throughout the entire game that you are with the Cookie Monster on a mission to find him a snack with the help from the Letter Tree. The episode you will be in will be based on jumping and you are required to jump up and down when Cookie Monster tells you to do so. If you read my advice in the "General Hints & Tips Section", it does advise you that you don't have to do a full jump for the Kinect sensor to recognize you've completed a jump. Anyway as you playthrough this chapter you will drop items from the tree beginning with the letter K. The third item that drops down from the tree is a Kayak (Canoe). Once you have done that and obtained the final item to complete the chapter, you will get this achievement at the end of the show for receiving a Kayak.
Tip: Once you see the action where something is falling from the tree, you can stop jumping.
EP 2: Chapter 2: Freeze For The Count - 11
Warning: This is a wonky achievement as it's 11G gamerscore.
Eleven - Ah ah ah!
You stood still like a statue so the Count could count to 11!
1 guide
This will be the first of many visits to The Count's Castle who loves nothing more than counting with you. The game is pretty simple in which The Count will reveal a Mirror and you must stand in front of it. When the Kinect sensor finds you, all you have to do is stand still and do not move until The Count has counted all the way up to the number that's part of the episode. Among all of the episodes that feature The Count's Castle, this one has the highest target at 11. So when The Count begins, keep still, do not move, do not speak and do not get distracted until he successfully counts up to Number 11. Once he has done that you will get this achievement at the end of the show.
EP 2: Chapter 3: Construction Letter K
This is a music video and you do not need to do anything related to achievements in this chapter.
EP 2: Chapter 4: Baby Bear's Baby Doll
Bottle Bear
You found all baby bottles in Baby Bear's Baby Doll!
For this chapter, there will be Baby Bottles scattered around the street in the video you are watching. As demonstrated in the introduction video all you have to do is point your finger at a Baby Bottle and say "PICTURE". Cooper will then appear and then take a photo of the Baby Bottle.
There are 20 Baby Bottles for you to find in this chapter and once you have obtained your 20th then you will unlock the achievement at the end of the show. At the end of the chapter, Cooper will add however many collectibles you have achieved into the Journal.
EP 2: Chapter 5: Ring Bells With Ernie
Tingalingaling
You helped Ernie play his bells!
1 guide
You will be with Bert & Ernie in the Laundry Area. Whilst Bert gives you and Ernie a job that you we're supposed to follow of listening for the bell in the dryer to notify his pants are ready for pickup. You end up playing an instrument with Ernie. He will bring in 3 different sized Bells and he will ask you to jump to start ringing the bells. The bigger the bell, the more jumping you will need to do. Remember to take the same advice I suggested with the other mini-game in this episode regarding to the jumping. As soon as you have rung all 3 bells, the achievement will unlock at the end of the show.
Tip: Once you see the action where Bert is in the other room doing his activity, you can stop jumping.
EP 2: Chapter 6: John Legend
This is a music video and you do not need to do anything related to achievements in this chapter.
EP 2: Chapter 7: Elmo's World: Beach
Day at the Beach
You touched all the fun beach stuff in Elmo's World Beach!
1 guide
There will be a part in the episode where you will be placed in an area and items such as a Ball, an Inner Tube etc will appear that you can touch. To get this achievement you just need to hit each of the items at least once.
Hang Ten
You went surfing in Elmo's World!
1 guide
This is another easy achievement for you to get in this episode, all you have to do is make sure you are on the Surfboards surfing away. Once you have made an appearance, you can just relax for a few moments or swing your arms around, pretending that your surfing.
Baby Bear's Baby Doll
You watched all of the interactive episode: Baby Bear's Baby Doll
1 guide
After the ending video of Cooper saying goodbye, you should then get the Soho Productions screen and then any achievements you have accomplished popped here. You will also get this achievement as well if you have watched all of this episode from the very beginning to the end.
Episode 3: Goodbye Pacifier
EP 3: Play From Start
EP 3: Chapter 1: Makes Shapes With Abby
Doggie Do
You helped Abby cut lots of doggie hair!
2 guides
This is one of three occasions where you will be helping Abby The Fairy girl at the Animal Hairdressers whilst Gina's away from the shop. You will have 3 dogs that will come in the shop (all the same in each of the chapters you play) and they will ask for a shape they wish to have their hair change into. Abby will then create the requested shape with her magic wand and all you have to do is wave your hand side to side at a medium pace for the Kinect sensor to register it. After you have done it the dog will have their haircut into the shape they wish for.
Once you have done a haircut on all 3 of the dogs in the chapter, you will get this achievement at the end of the show.
Tip: You don't have to wave your hand side to side very slow or very fast. You just need to perform a medium paced wave. An idea is to copy the pace the hand is doing on the screen.
This achievement can be unlocked on multiple episodes of the game.
EP 3: Chapter 2: Letter V Salesman
This is a music video and you do not need to do anything related to achievements in this chapter.
EP 3: Chapter 3: Goodbye Pacifier
Bunny Bash
You found all the white bunnies in Goodbye Pacifier!
For this chapter, there will be White Bunny Toys scattered around the street in the video you are watching. As demonstrated in the introduction video all you have to do is point your finger at a White Bunny Toy and say "PICTURE". Cooper will then appear and then take a photo of the White Bunny Toy.
There are 20 White Bunny Toys for you to find in this chapter and once you have obtained your 20th then you will unlock the achievement at the end of the show. At the end of the chapter, Cooper will add however many collectibles you have achieved into the Journal.

EP 3: Chapter 5: I Love Words
This is a music video and you do not need to do anything related to achievements in this chapter.
EP 3: Chapter 6: Elmo's World: Violins
Music Lover
You hit all the notes in Elmo's World Violins!
2 guides
During this part of Elmo's World you will encounter a part where Music Notes will appear in a circle on your screen. To get this achievement you just need to hit all of the notes before they disappear. You may find the bottom ones on your screen slightly tricky to hit, so if you are struggling a suggestion is to wave your arms around in a circle formation like a windmill.
Goodbye Pacifier
You watched all of the interactive episode: Goodbye Pacifier

After the ending video of Cooper saying goodbye, you should then get the Soho Productions screen and then any achievements you have accomplished popped here. You will also get this achievement as well if you have watched all of this episode from the very beginning to the end.

This achievement can be unlocked on multiple episodes of the game.
EP 4: Chapter 2: Nature Design - Letter C
This is a music video and you do not need to do anything related to achievements in this chapter.
EP 4: Chapter 3: Freeze For The Count - 4
If you require more information about this Mini-Game, please read section EP 2: Chapter 2: Freeze For The Count - 11.
EP 4: Chapter 4: Siblings
Scribble Hunt
You found all the crayons in Siblings!
1 guide
For this chapter, there will be Crayons scattered around the street in the video you are watching. As demonstrated in the introduction video all you have to do is point your finger at a Crayon and say "PICTURE". Cooper will then appear and then take a photo of the Crayon.
There are 20 Crayons for you to find in this chapter and once you have obtained your 20th then you will unlock the achievement at the end of the show. At the end of the chapter, Cooper will add however many collectibles you have achieved into the Journal.
EP 4: Chapter 5: Play Catch With Elmo: Circus
Ringmaster
You threw Paul Ball to Elmo at the circus!
1 guide
This is your second trip with Elmo and his Paul Ball. This time he will take you down to the circus and once again you must throw Paul Ball between obstacles, people and items that are around the circus. Remember that you must make sure you put your hands in a catch position when Elmo throws the ball and then aim for Elmo himself when you throw the ball. Once you have completed this chapter, you will unlock the achievement at the end of the show.
EP 4: Chapter 6: Feist - 1, 2, 3, 4
This is a music video and you do not need to do anything related to achievements in this chapter.
EP 4: Chapter 7: Elmo's World: Birthday
Viva Piñata
You broke the piñata in Elmo's World!
1 guide
I would say that this achievement has a reference towards the video-game itself - Viva Piñata Achievements & Viva Piñata (GFWL) Achievements.
During this chapter you will come across a part where you will have a large Pinata Horse that appears on your screen. You need to smash it in half in order to get this achievement. When it appears simply move your hand/s up and down at a fast pace as if you we're bashing it away. When it snaps in half it means you have completed the requirement. You will have to be fairly fast as the Pinata will disappear after a short while on screen.
Bubble Pop
You popped all the bubbles in Elmo's World Birthdays or Frogs!
1 guide
There are 2 episodes in this game that you can attempt to get this achievement during Elmo's World. This is one of them and the other is in episode 8. There will be a scene where you will be placed underwater when the fishes celebrate Dorthy's (Elmo's Goldfish) Birthday. Whilst you are underwater bubbles will start to appear. Some of them will be easy to notice whilst others will pose a challenge. If you want the achievement in this episode, you must pop all of the Bubbles that appear underwater.
This is the hardest episode to get this achievement on, so if you don't get it during this episode and you have patience, I recommend you attempt to work on this achievement in EP 8: Chapter 7: Frogs as it will be much easier to obtain.
This achievement can be unlocked on multiple episodes of the game.
Siblings
You watched all of the interactive episode: Siblings
1 guide
After the ending video of Cooper saying goodbye, you should then get the Soho Productions screen and then any achievements you have accomplished popped here. You will also get this achievement as well if you have watched all of this episode from the very beginning to the end.
Wind Down
You sat back, relaxed and enjoyed an Episode!
2 guides
Warning: This is a wonky achievement as it's 3G gamerscore.
Besides all of the above achievements, there is one lonesome achievement in this game that actually requires you to sit down and watch an episode from start to finish as if you we're watching a TV show or a film. You can do this for any of the episodes throughout the entire game, but beside the achievements related to "watching all of the interactive episodes", you will not earn any other achievements since they require you to get off your butt from the chair and use the Kinect sensor to work towards them.
Because "you must" watch the chosen episode at "Play From Start", it can last between 40 - 50 Minutes. You can however stay away from the game completely whilst it does the work of playing the episode from Start To Finish. So as a recommendation I suggest when you go for this achievement to take a break from the Kinect and go off and do something else for 1+ hour whilst it broadcasts the show. Possible solutions could be grabbing a drink & a sandwich or going on another gaming device to keep you occupied.
Note: You must click "Play From Start" in the episode and not use the Kinect sensor at all. You must also not stop the show early and return to the main menu as failing to do so will void this achievement.
Alright, you have completed all of the achievements available for Disc 1 of Kinect Sesame Street TV DVD. Good work. Move onto Disc 2 when you are ready to get some more achievements for the game.
4. Disc 2: Science2. General hints and tips
